Zoombezi Bay
Zoombezi Bay is our local water park that is a part of our zoo. The commercial says it is the "wildest water park in the world" and Austin has remembered that it is the wildest in the world and has wanted to go since last summer. He brought it up all summer long and Jeremy and I encouraged him to earn some money if he wanted to go because it is a bit pricey. He began fundraising immediately! Both boys took their piggy bank money to the coin counter machine and contributed all their money, they also picked up rocks at Papa and Nini's house, they loaded the van for Grandma and Grandpa's vacation and they did chores at home as well as writing out scriptures on cards. Once we had enough money we were off for an end of summer fun day! Austin loved riding all the big tube slides! He was so brave and I loved hearing his screams as we went down the unexpected hills and turns. It was fun to ride in the back of the tubes with him in front. I tried to hold his little body in with my legs! He felt so small in the big tubes! After each of the rides he would scream "that was the best ride in history!!" His smiles and joy were priceless!! Jake had fun in the toddler area and going down "the yellow slide." It was a short, fast kid slide. Even Emily got in on the fun and rode in the lazy river with us. She mostly sat with Jeremy in the shade. The poor guy had worked the night before and only got a few hours of sleep before venturing out. He was glad to sleep when we got home!
