Apple Orchard

A couple of weeks ago Austin's class took a field trip to Lynd's Fruit Farm. This was a fun trip because neither of us had ever been apple picking from a real orchard, only a few backyards. It was great to see Austin's classmates and get to know their names too. We had big plans for all the apples we picked and we ended up just eating them plain. They were Golden Delicious apples and they really were the best apples we've ever had! I think Austin's favorite part may have been wiping off the apple dust from the apples before we could eat them. He told everyone what the man at the orchard told us; you only need to wipe off the apple dust to eat them, you don't have to wash them. Austin is such a rule follower I think it was fun for him to skip the boring step of washing the apples.
